We are proud to announce that we have taken home the bronze for Mid-tier Firm of the Year at the Accounting Excellence Awards 2026.
The awards, now in their twentieth year, attracted a strong field of competing firms.
Finishing in the top three is a real reflection of our ongoing success and our commitment to growth and it is an achievement our whole team can be proud of.
Dan Sayers, our Director at MJ Bushell, said: “The recognition of the hard work and dedication from our incredible team is greatly appreciated.
“We have worked tirelessly to drive the firm forward by embracing the latest technology and developing a work environment that allows people to flourish.”
The past few years have been an exciting time of change for us. We went through a succession and nearly every one of our clients chose to stay with us throughout.
Rather than letting the challenges that often come with change hold us back, we adopted an ethos of continuous growth and used it to create new opportunities.
“Part of our strategy has been to become a reliable local brand,” said Dan. “We moved to a new office in Brentwood last year and we are seeking out new opportunities to sponsor local good causes and get involved in supporting the local area.
“We are excited for the future and getting bronze at the Accounting Excellence Awards is a clear sign that our future is bright.”
The Mid-tier Firm of the Year category takes a comprehensive look at a firm’s strategy, considering how it benefits clients as well as the people who work there.
Success in the category depends on a firm’s ability to provide exceptional client service while also encouraging its own experts to develop their careers. That balance is something we work hard to get right.
“People in a firm need to feel like they are progressing and have the opportunities to meaningfully do so if you want to provide a quality service to clients,” said Dan. “Clients know when an accountant is phoning it in. They want the dynamic approach that we place at the heart of our culture.
“We’re going for gold next year! We will keep growing and pushing ahead with our plans to become more scalable and resilient, with technology at the centre of how we work, while protecting the culture and service standards that have driven our success to date.”
The winners of the Accounting Excellence Awards were announced on 30 September at the Roundhouse in Camden, London.
