Corné joined M J Bushell in July 2012 and completed his final ACA papers in 2017, successfully becoming a qualified Chartered Accountant. He has since climbed to the position of Director, now looking after a portfolio of clients ranging from small owner managed businesses through to larger companies with more complex group structures.
As a Responsible Individual (RI), Corné heads up the firm’s audit offering as the compliance principal for the practice. Corné is responsible for ensuring the firm’s audits are compliant with the ever-changing auditing standards and ensures clients see a tangible benefit to having an audit, providing recommendations for proper financial reporting and internal systems and controls.
With considerable experience working with clients in the third sector, Corné can assist charities with a wide range of issues, from compliance with important charity legislation to the financial management of large not-for-profit organisations.
Corné enjoys helping business of all sizes overcome the obstacles to growth and ensures business owners are properly advised before making important decisions. This includes undertaking financial and tax due diligence when clients are looking to acquire a business and working with clients when they are looking at potential exit strategies.
As a forward-thinking accountant he is also part of the firm’s cloud accounting team and is helping client’s benefit from these new innovative services.
