We’re delighted to share that we’ve been named a finalist for Mid-tier Firm of the Year at the Accounting Excellence Awards 2026.
Now in its twentieth year, the Accounting Excellence Awards continues to spotlight the most ambitious firms and individuals in accounting and remains the leading awards programme for accountants and bookkeepers.
The Mid-tier Firm of the Year category takes a close look at a firm’s strategy, considering how it benefits both clients and the people who work there.
Competition is fierce, with mid-tier firms from across the UK eligible to enter. Our shortlist places us alongside nine other strong firms from around the country.
“Having just completed a generational succession, being shortlisted for such a prestigious award confirms that we are heading in the right direction,” said Dan Sayers, our Director.
“We have established a leadership team that is committed to growth and embracing new technology to make our work environment better and give our clients more value.”
We’ve seen significant organic growth following a succession that we managed with real care and we’re proud that nearly every client stayed with us despite the specific individuals they’d worked with moving on.
“A phrase we often use internally is that we need to aim for constant growth because growth creates opportunity,” Dan added.
“That applies to every person in the team as well as the firm as a whole. We want people at all levels across the office to be progressing, because that is what creates the dynamic culture we have and are trying to continue.
“We have taken great care to establish ourselves as a reliable local brand following an office move in 2025 that strengthened our presence in Brentwood. We are currently exploring local sponsorship and community opportunities to build on this and the idea that we are now recognised on a national level is truly incredible.”
We’ve tried to show the judging panel that an ethos of growth centred on client satisfaction and professional development for our staff is genuinely an effective way of revitalising a firm.
Rather than chasing trends, we’ve been testing a range of software and AI solutions to find the best fit for specific tasks, making sure technology serves a real purpose for us and our clients rather than being a publicity exercise.
We think this is exactly the kind of initiative the Accounting Excellence Awards has been encouraging since 2006.
“The next stage for us is about becoming more scalable, more technology-enabled and more resilient, while protecting the culture and service standards that have driven our success to date,” Dan said.
The winners of the Accounting Excellence Awards will be announced on 30 September at the Roundhouse in Camden, London.
